Basser Center Executive Director, Susan Domchek, MD, and Justin Bekelman, MD, discussed how BRCA mutations affect men, including an increased risk of prostate cancer. Dr. Bekelman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania.

Allison Werner-Lin, PhD, LCSW, EdM, discussed managing BRCA mutations. Dr. Werner-Lin is Assistant Professor at the School of Social Policy & Practice at the University of Pennsylvania where she conducts research addressing psychosocial aspects of genomic testing.

The Basser Center's first-ever Basser Jean Bash was held in November 2015 and honored Basser Center founders Mindy and Jon Gray. Over 1,100 people came out to Unzip their Genes and raise over $8 million to support the Basser Center.

This 2013 symposium on the Ashkenazi Jewish population's increased chances of carrying a BRCA mutation was moderated by Barbara Walters and featured a panel of breast and ovarian cancer experts, including Basser's Executive Director Susan Domchek, MD.
